What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Your password is never stored as plain text: we hash it before it touches our database. When you add a monitor, we store what you give us to run it: a name, a target URL for URL monitors, or a generated check-in token for heartbeat monitors. Every check we run produces a timestamp, a pass or fail result, a response time, and an HTTP status code where relevant, and we keep this history so your dashboard can show it back to you. If you join the Pro waitlist without an account, we store the email you gave us for that purpose alone.

How we use it

We use your data to run the service you signed up for: keeping you signed in, running your monitors on schedule, recording their results, and emailing you when one changes state. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this site.

Who we share it with

PulseChecker runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which stores your account and monitor data and executes your scheduled checks. When a monitor changes status, we send an alert email through Resend, a transactional email provider, which sees your email address and the alert's contents in order to deliver it. Checking a URL monitor means we send an HTTP request to the URL you provided, from Cloudflare's network, on the schedule you set. We do not share your data with anyone else.

Cookies

We set one cookie: a session identifier used to keep you signed in. It is httpOnly (JavaScript cannot read it) and is not used for tracking or advertising. We do not use any other cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and monitor data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a monitor, its check and incident history is deleted with it. If you want your account and all associated data deleted entirely, email us and we will remove it.

Your rights

You can review and delete your monitors at any time from your dashboard. You can request a copy of your data, or request that we delete your account and everything tied to it, by emailing us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use PulseChecker after a change means you accept the update.
